Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 championships have been earned on hardcourt
A resurgent the Russian player won his initial championship for 882 days with success over Corentin Moutet in the tournament title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has endured a challenging season, achieving just a single victory at the major tournaments and experiencing a setback at the US Open.
His unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serve in especial - led to him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally splitting with long-time trainer Gilles Cervara.
Now collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, he has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - culminating in a tightly fought competitive victory over challenger Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's first title after the Italian tournament and initial on a hard court since March of 2023.
Victory also signifies Medvedev has secured 21 titles at 21 distinct competitions.
"It's the first time I am participating in a tournament with my both daughters at once, so to get a trophy is particularly special," said world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I got when my child Alisa was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his last six finals, featuring in the German tournament earlier this year.
The player's retrieving play style and regular reactions on court had prompted observers to question if his skill to compete at the top level was concluded.
But the athlete has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, striving to come to the net and compete positively, reinforced by an improved service.
The champion fought back from a break down in the initial set against the tricky Moutet, securing 4 of the final five points to go ahead.
Both players swapped service breaks in the middle set before Moutet, bidding for his initial professional victory, seized the initiative to push for a decider.
He saved four initial opportunities in a close third set before the Russian broke to 15 to close out the victory.
Suitably, he secured victory with a point at the net area, with the Frenchman failing to handle a shot after over two and a half hours.
